Carp and trout fishing is encouraged in our own lake in the peaceful valley of Château le Val.

Under the centuries old Cedar of Lebanon in the garden are 2 large barbecues for nice garden parties. Large pick-nick tables are available. There is a children's play area with outdoor table tennis, sand pit, swings under a tree, little copse to explore, a slide and a wooden cabin. There is a large field to play cricket, badminton, volley ball or football. There are sweet little donkeys, a pony, horses (in paddocks) and ducks for the children to see.

Every season has its charm.

During a Spring holiday the apple blossom, huge purple rhododendrons and a green valley filled with flowers and birdsong, will steal your heart. The gardens offer pretty places to sit with wooden furniture.

In summer, the clear ocean with its beautiful long sandy beaches offers a fantastic day; sunbathing, swimming and playing on the sand. Returning home after a relaxing day on the beach, you could enjoy a glass of wine with some bread and French cheese as a prelude to dinner, in a quiet little corner of the gardens.

For a romantic break in Autumn or Winter, we offer the seclusion of undisturbed privacy with cosy evenings around a log fire in our centrally heated apartment(s). Television/video/DVD is available with an extensive library of films. .

 

 

Just outside the village of Brix, via a long avenue of old oak, you drive into the peaceful valley of Le Val. Château le Val is a manor house, rebuilt in the 16th century with original features from the 12th century.

Here you still find birds of prey, squirrels, rabbits, foxes, owls and pheasants. Remarkable, is the peaceful character and serene environment. You can enjoy a walk through cornfields passing old hamlets which time has forgotten.
